“TRIBUTE TO TAZ!”

In August of 2003, a flat coat puppy blessed the Nelson household and was named Amani Razza M’Taz. In addition to being a beautiful puppy, he was the highlight of the family and loved by everyone who met him. Regretfully, Taz was diagnosed with terminal liver disease at seven months old and died on his birthday, July 19, 2004.

In light of the illness, Shelia and Doug decided they would not push him and add any additional stress in his life, so no AKC titles were earned. However, he took “Reserve” at the Houston Dog Show and was named “Best Puppy in Breed” just before he died. Shelia and Doug bestowed a very special title on Taz, C-EX (Cuddler Excellent)!

While many of his accomplishments in his short life were remarkable, his most significant accomplishment was the joy he brought to the Nelson household, his unconditional love of his family and the joy and pleasure he brought to all those with whom he came in contact. While Taz is enjoying a healthy life with his dog pals in a better place, his loving memories will stay with us forever!
